As there seems to be a lot of speculation regarding the Kenilworth 9th allow me to further muddy the waters. Hereunder the trainer report for my horse Make My Grey :

"This will be his last run before we stick him away and give him a spell. I have to say, he is doing exceptionally well. His work is good, he is looking exceptionally well and is a happy horse and I am extremely pleased with the way everything’s gone with him. I haven’t had a good look at the race yet as it is about 5h30 on Saturday morning. While I am not saying he will win it, I will be disappointed if he is not competitive in it."

Now - if you do the numbers on, for example, Polar Bound you have to wonder whether 14/1 vs 7/2 is an accurate measure of their relative chances.......

You can draw a line through Make My Grey's Derby run - he clearly does not get 2000m and that is what we were wishing to learn.

Now I am confused . The Yogas stable really fancies Senor Grise to kill. Methinks 2 horse race. Exacta maybe.

I thought Iron Rods looked very well. Work riders not worth going short on anyway.

You would think on that run to What A Winter, Iron Rod should cream this field BUT workriders races can be a different story....

If the workrider is half decent, Iron Rods will come home lonely.

Toadinthevillage and Respectable Lady the other 2 bets for me.

I was thinking of tipping Hospitality in the stayers but due to the toads run I feel that Grey Cossack will win!
