Al
I will correct you. I dont know the oke, what he is or what he stands for BUT the moment he came on here and chose to insult me i had no option but to retort. Then i found out 1 or 2 other interesting things about LS and thought "fu dude"
LET HE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE 1ST STONE
IF you want to "get into" horseracing and want to BOOST your chances of owning a success story then i know ONLY of 1 syndicate/partnership that has consistently delivered.
www.highclereracing.co.uk
NOW Mr Irwin has done very well as well but they BUY in proven horses, Highclere buy babies and they must be doing something right. I have NEVER seen such a slick operatin in SA.
Having said that when Motivator won the Derby a HUGE can of worms opened up as to who/what was getting the buck.
Overall though this is the ONLY way to go if you want to get into horseracing and want to MAXIMISE your chances of success.
IF the goal is to intice/lure people in the Mr Setaro and MR Scotia need to give, give, give and give some more. The trainer needs to give as well.
Giving will yield results in the long run.

Easy, just for the record, I have raced as many Champions and Grade 1 winners that I have bought as unraced horses or bred as Highclere, even though I have not won the Epsom Derby.

Easy you are a major contributor to one of the other forums. Some of us that have been around for a while will know the history between LS and Catsmug. Not to defend him or anybody (I too dont know him), do you not think that his remarks were due to the perceived relationship you have with that forum. Unfortunately there seem to be no individuals on these forums, we are all labelled and painted with the ame brush.
On the Highclere story, most would want to race locally to begin with I am sure. i do also note that they are fully subscribed for 2011 and one would guess that its a case of the highrollers getting first offer again. (Hows the line up of trainers with them - Wow!)
Easy perhaps there is an opportunity to mirror this in SA?

Barry,
although i have had a go at you a few times on this forum, in this case i was not. If you say that "pound for pound" you are on par with highclere then i accept that, but i was under the impression that they focussed more on buying yearlings and you an raced horses.
