I know he had a tickle. Not a big punt, but a bet nevertheless. Why do I need to see the tickets, especially when it makes nol difference in my life whether he backed the horse or not. I have no idea what he told the owners, but considering Trevor Denman and his wife are amongst the owners I have my doubts that they would have been at Greyville even if the horse had been punted to win a million.

Zoro, I not talking from pocket... just commenting on my opinion of Laff as a trainer... my opinon. He did the race previews ... and I did not hear him jumping out of his skin (exaggeration) as regards his mounts chances. Anyway, definitely not important.. i was just expressing a view. The horse won really tidily, and could have more in the tank.

Maybe. It was a very moderate field, but he won nicely from a poor draw and being a King Of Kings he should be a better 3yo than he was a 2yo. Not that I'm a great KoK fan, to be honest, but to each his own. And I agree, it's not important. Good luck to anybody who had a bet, but it doesn't affect my life one way or the other!

Guys, I don't see what the big issue with Laff is. Horses come up on us all the time. I'm sure it was a pleasant surprise for him.
Ask MDK if Flirtation was his first choice.
Laff does well from a limited stock. I wish him all the best.
On Laff as a presenter, I enjoy his wit. He is a straight shooter on topical issues. I think that he is good for the game. Yes, even if he tips the 1st,2nd and 3rd favourites. (He tipped Fabiola the other day at 7/1). So, if he doesn't tip the top 3, he knows something.
Instead of slating Laff, questions should be asked about Kevin Sheas ride on Drift Along. He placed it so badly that it would have had to be Pegasus to win from there. Shocking ride imo.

Laff's stock is further limited by the fact that I "helped" him buy some of it. Lol.
