Another case begging for an investigation by the stipes imo - Rocket Propulsion finished 19 lengths behind just a week ago on this surface - and yes I'm speaking from my pocket - had 4 horses in the PA and could only mange a dirty 4th:(

this is a 2nd recent 'upset' from the stable in recent weeks!

if nothing sinister, then how come a 50/1 shot pays under R40? Should have paid at least R70!

any bets on the books?

or, are such bets 'under the table'?

It seems the blokes preparing this surface are not doing it properly , i can only comment from my observing that this track was running heavy today . They always say the track is running "standard" , BULLSHIT !!! . It was slow today . Look at the mediocre times that where recorded today barring the 5th & 7th race . Fantasia island clocked one of the slowest times this year over 1800m on the sand .
The track manager must get his act together and get that track to run consistently . They have a certain indicator which they work with at the vaal but it seems they dont use it . Maybe they just prepare certain parts of the track and leave others , i dont know . If they wanted to they could manipulate or doctor that track anyway they want to .

They had a few mm of rain this week , so they probably didnt water the track enough !

If racing continues like this at the vaal then i can just aswell go play the lotto or start punting the casinos again .
