Thats why i said its a bookmakers dream - if they bidding to 102% - they cant lose if they lay. Certainly not if they offer under the bids.

Not sure where you are coming from?

A bookie betting against the punters at 102% would have 2% profit on the "book"

If he was 130% and the punters were punting that would be a dream with a 30% profit

You are misunderstanding him Scotia. What Ruffian says is 100% correct.
When the bookies price up at 130% it does'nt mean that they are making 30%. That will only happen if they lay every runner in the race at its price. However, they will in all probability only lay 2 or 3 runners. i.e the 130% is meaningless.
There is a huge difference offering at 130% or bidding at 130%.
In any instance where the bid is more than 100% the bookies can't lose. Generally the bids are around 80%.

1. Results from 1st to 4th 6+1+1+1+ Palermo Rosa (1) = 10
