I underestimated the fight of Duminy and Amla. Its just AB that has lost his way with his big mouth with his comments about Anderson leading up to this test match. At least he has another record. Only captain in test match history to score 3 ducks in his first 4 knocks as captain.

I think we will bat until 1 hour from close of play... Probably bat like we are until tea, and then come out guns blazing after tea and see what happens...

On 2nd thoughts after watching how poorly Morkel has been bowling in this series if i were the Proteas i would bat until they have a lead of 400 or until the close of play. Radaba cannot be expected to get all the wickets again. Piedt could be the one to win it.

And Abbott unlikely to bowl in second innings so more workload for main bowlers...

...need to manage Rabada properly otherwise his body will break down...bowling fast is strenuous and even more so on a body that is not fully mature yet...so, can be susceptible to long term injury...Mfuneko Ngam is a previous example of this happening...

I like the way that Bavuma just gets on with his game. They are giving him heaps but he appears to be ignoring them. He is showing great temperament for such a young guy coming into international cricket.
